Project Management
Plan and oversee wide range of different construction projects with varied range in scope and sizes from beginning to end. Negotiate and execute contracts, create and balance the budgets, keep track of supplies, collaborate with subcontractors and vendors, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and ensure that permits acquired. Write contracts for subcontractors (subs) and provide the overall schedule for the subcontractors and manage the sequential activities of the subs. Supervise the construction managers and the project superintendents. Generate progress billings and manage the payables and receivables for each specific project.
Construction Management
Request submittals from vendors, generate and package submittals and send to architects or consultants. Track, review, and manage submittals to insure compliance with plans and specifications. Generate and track RFIs. Manage the schedule and track materials thru the procurement process. Review and process progress billings for payment. Regularly review and monitor contracts to ensure full compliance.
Risk Management
Assist business owners and PMs with their health and safety programs. Review written safety plans to ensure OSHA / HIOSH compliance. Conduct project sites assessments and provide Owners and PMs written reports identifying potential high risks areas with recommendations for mitigating the risks to acceptable levels. Conduct investigations into industrial accident and near misses and provide retraining programs for employees.
Communication Systems Design
Design communications main distribution frames (MDFs) and intermediate distribution frames (IDF) with fiber optic cable, coaxial cable, or CAT6 backbones to provide maximum capacity of the system. Design wiring protocol for backbone and the horizontal cabling. Provide advice on backboard wire management and compliance with testing protocols.
